Niklaus Troxler
AGI Membership – 1989

Troxler studied graphic design at the Art School of Lucerne. He became an AD in Paris, and founded his own studio in 1973. He has been a professor at the State Academy for Art and Design in Stuttgart since 1998. He works for clients in the commercial and cultural fields, producing posters, CD and book covers, illustrations, typography, and more. Exhibitions in NY, Minneapolis, Mexico, Caracas, Paris, Berlin, Warsaw, Tokyo, Beijing. Many important international and national design and poster awards.

Books: Jazz Blvd: Niklaus Troxler Posters (Lars Müller), A Designer’s Design Life (Wang Xu), Niklaus Troxler Jazz Posters (Oreos), Niklaus Troxler: Master of Design (Hesign).

His works are in many important design and poster collections, including NY MoMA, Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Wilanówa Poster Museum, Zürich Poster Collection, and Deutsches Plakat Museum Essen.
